Your vehicle’s paint is what prevents your vehicle from deteriorating and rusting. Is your car of truck in need of a facelift or larger repair?

There are many types of paint and several ways to apply them. Some people think that once you purchase a new panel for a vehicle it is ready to be painted. Unfortunately, that’s not necessarily the case.

Existing paint has to be removed with sanding and any filling also needs to be sanded until the body of the car is totally smooth. The paint process itself is a multi-step procedure. Multiple layers are applied to the vehicle, so the paint looks like new and lasts a long time.

The following layers are applied to all vehicles we paint:

Primer – a coating layer to protect your vehicle from corrosion, sunlight, rust, etc. The primer also serves to smooth out any surface irregularities on your car or truck.

Base Coat – the colour layer giving your vehicle its aesthetic. Base coats won’t fade for many years, so the colour of your vehicle will remain vibrant.

Clear Coat –  the top layer designed to protect all of the other layers from the elements and maintain a consistent shine. Day after day the clear coat will withstand the effects of sunlight, salt, rain and other beatings from in town and highway driving.

We take great pride in making sure your vehicle leaves our shop looking like new.
